     A Message from Karin:

It is my dream to ride in Mongolia. In fact, it is what inspired me to start taking riding lessons now a little over 3 years ago. Being part of an immigrant family that didn’t even speak English when we came from Eastern Europe to the US, I didn’t have horseback riding lessons in my cards as a kid growing up.

My career in sustainability took me all over the world but left little time for much else. But when I was in Mongolia for work several years ago, I made the decision to make horses a part of my life, no matter what.

​To be able to participate in the Blue Totem Expedition is so exciting! The Mongolian horse culture is something that inspires and amazes me, and I am so glad that I can ride horses and support Mongolian children in the process. In my work trips to Mongolia, I realized how absolutely genuine and kind are Mongolians. I am honored to have the opportunity to learn some skills from Mongolians in riding and bonding with horses. Appreciate any and all support for Mongolian kids and the confidence in me to do this!

 Seeing these children safe and warm at the Children of the Peak Sanctuary and NOT out in the cold scavenging to survive is what motivates me to keep on.  Thank you for helping me help them!
