Our projects involve a number of initiatives which work in concert to improve the lives of the children and families who subsist by scavenging at the Ulaanchuuluut Garbage dump in Mongolia and other impoverished people in the area. We aim to create a sustainable development solution to this problem and our initiatives are designed to complement one another for maximum integrated success.
The New Children of the Peak Kindergarten building project
A visionary approach to solving the problem of poverty in Mongolia by building a world class innovative warm, safe, and environmentally friendly GREEN PASSIVE SOLAR KINDERGARTEN and school building to deliver food, care, and education to children from a community where many of the member families scavenge to survive.
NEW KINDERGARTEN BUILDING NEEDS IN THE SONGINO-KHAIRKHAN DISTRICT
Our current building, which houses 120 children aged three to five for early childhood and kindergarten education, was originally designed as a temporary modular office building. After nearly 13 years of use, it now requires extensive repairs and upgrades to maintain safety standards and reduce our excessively high heating costs. After careful analysis, we have decided to relocate and renovate this building. On our current land, we will then construct a new passive solar kindergarten using state-of-the-art Green Building Standards, which will also, in the near future, house an English language primary school track.
- Currently, only 57% of children in the Songinokhairkhan district are able to attend kindergarten due to limited availability. However, with the opening of our new kindergarten, this number will significantly rise, allowing 70,5% of children to access early childhood education.
- This increase will provide more children with the opportunity to start their educational journey in a nurturing environment, helping to shape brighter futures for our community!
To achieve this initiative, we have developed a strategy to complete the project by constructing the new kindergarten BLOCK BY BLOCK over the course of three years.
