Hello Everyone!
For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of seeing vast, unrefined wilderness. I have dreamed to ride a horse for as long as the eye could see and wondered what it would be like to never reach a fence line or property border. So, when the opportunity came knocking to trek to Mongolia and participate in the 700km charity ride known as the Gobi Gallop, I had to jump all over it. The Gobi Gallop is the longest annual horseback charity ride in the world and is the main fundraiser for Narnii Huuhduud Kindergarten (Children of the Peak Sanctuary). Veloo Foundation works on various projects designed to help the disadvantaged children in the Ulaanbaatar neighborhood who often survive by scavenging in the local garbage dump. A kindergarten has been built and currently serves approximately 150 children. Now, a second kindergarten is underway to serve up to another 125 children and their families still living in poverty. This project will also supply up to 18 jobs for members of the dump community while also providing access to an on-site doctor. By donating, your efforts will help to feed, educate and provide much needed health services for the children who otherwise would have none. Every child deserves access to these intrinsic human rights, so let’s make sure no child is cold or hungry! Donations of all sizes are much appreciated! |
