Introducing The Riders of the 2025 Gobi Gallop
I am taking part in the Gobi Gallop, raising money for the Children of the Peak Sanctuary in Mongolia. This program builds and maintains schools for children and their families that would otherwise have none. The Children of the Peak largely serves a community in Mongolia which is compelled to move from country to capital in order to survive without support or resources. To get by, whole families may have little choice but to scavenge. Children of the Peak reaches these families to help keep the children off the landfill. I’ve seen the landfill and the school's firsthand and have been lucky enough to meet some of the families served by their good work. This is a worthwhile cause with real results.

Manon Lelarge &
Sabine Patricot There should be no competition between solidarity and social justice initiatives for a more sustainable world.
In the capital, Veloo Foundation contributes to a better day-to-day life and thus opens windows of opportunities for kids and young people, offering them a perspective towards a better future, far away from the landfills and insecurity. Their actions allow them to dream and dream big. Together, we can, and we will, build bridges between our actions. Because kids of the ger districts need not forget they come from a country with a powerful identity and incredible natural resources. |
We will bring them together so that nomadic herders can make kids dream of freedom in the steppes, and kids can make nomadic herders’ eyes shine with pride. Please, donate to help Veloo Foundation keep making the kids from UB smile as well.
LAUREN CLEAVER
I am stoked to be selected and heading to Mongolia next June to hop on a Mongolian steed for charity and ride 700 kms in 10 days in the epic Gobi Gallop: the "Greatest Endurance Ride Ever." This ride supports the Veloo Foundation's Children of the Peak Sanctuary and Gandys Kids Campus Community Library, helping some of the neediest children who survive by scavenging in the garbage.
It’s a world-class adventure that perfectly suits my passion for riding horses, and I’m honored to be part of the longest charity endurance ride on the planet. Your support means the world to me and, more importantly, to these children in need.
Thanks for supporting me in this wild adventure and making a difference for these kids!
ROSSITSA AVRAMOVA
As a thrill seeker, it was no surprise that I picked up horse riding after moving to Mongolia two years ago. Now, I’m combining my love for adventure with my passion for charity by participating in the 2025 Gobi Gallop to raise funds for the Veloo Foundation’s “Children of the Peak Sanctuary” project.
Through my volunteering, I’ve seen how the foundation transforms the lives of families who’ve migrated to the capital without resources. Over the past decade, they’ve provided more than 10,000 children with vital support through kindergartens, a community library, summer camps, and more.
I’d deeply appreciate any support in helping me raise $4,500 for this incredible cause.
My trips horse trekking through outer Mongolia in 2018, 2019, May 2021, 2022 AND the previous June 2023 were five of the most incredible experiences of my life. An opportunity to repeat it and raise money for the kindergarten absolutely floats my boat.
At 70 and for the rest of my life I will be a philanthropic athlete. Please donate in support of the children and help me make a difference, one child at a time. |
Julie, as the one of the Founders of the Gobi Gallop and the Vice President of Veloo Foundation has ridden this wonderful adventurous fundraising challenge every year for 10 years AND once alone on the Covid Edition of the ride, the Gobi Gallop Solo Challenge.
She is honoured and humbled by the number of people from around the world who continue to come and ride and help her help the children AND by all of their wonderful supporters. THANK YOU ALL! |
