Since 2020, Cele from Australia has been supporting the Veloo Foundation’s work in Mongolia—helping provide safety, education, and hope for children who might otherwise be trapped in poverty. In May 2026, she’s taking that commitment further with a 4,000 km ride across Mongolia on the sturdy Mongolian horse.
The ride is more than an adventure. Behind it are families forced from the countryside into Ulaanbaatar, many ending up at the city dump with no way out. The Veloo Foundation has been breaking this cycle since 2013 by building kindergartens, libraries, sewing centres, and soon a medical facility—giving children a real chance at a better life. Cele’s ride is her way of ensuring this work continues. Every cent raised goes directly to support the children. By donating, you’re helping to change lives. |

Mongolian Charity Adventure!
Hi, I’m Cele from Australia and I need YOUR help!
In May 2026 I will be undertaking a 4000 km ride across Mongolia, through all sorts of terrain and weather, on the sturdy Mongolian horse.
I admit my Mongolian addiction. A country as harsh as it is beautiful and filled with the most welcoming, hospitable people I’ve ever met. Eat, sleep, ride repeat is pleasant, however the crux and core of it all is that there are children whose lives will be completely changed by every cent I can fundraise.
Mongolia’s nomadic people are herders, living simply, tending animals and moving with the seasons. However, for various reasons (total stock loss in an exceptionally bad winter, sickness requiring hospitalisation, etc.), many families are forced to the capital where there is no government help and they find themselves scavenging from the dump for food, clothing and anything they can sell. Children minding babies or working alongside their parents at the dump. Once in this vicious cycle a way out is rare and the life becomes generational. I don’t think life gets harder than being in that situation and raising children.
This is where the Veloo Foundation comes in. Since 2013 their reach assisting the most disadvantaged and marginalized people has been astounding. Starting with a room as day care, which turned into a kindergarten, then two kindergartens, where children are safe, warm, fed AND getting an education. Building has recently commenced for a third purpose built kindergarten and school. They built the Gandys Community Library & learning centre, the sewing centre which employs people and produces warm clothes for the children in the kindergartens and all over the country. There is a medical facility in the works which will cater to people who otherwise have no access to doctors or treatment. Added to these lifesaving ventures are regular food, clothing and school supply drives organised and distributed to those in need.
