They will be riding 3,600 kilometers across the breadth and width of Mongolia and all of it to help disadvantaged Mongolian children who are being helped by Veloo Foundation's Children of the Peak Sanctuary Project. Mongolian Adventure!
We are overjoyed to be taking part in the Blue Wolf Totem Charity Ride! Allan Bolster and I (Nicola von Rosen-Bolster) felt a strong resounding "YES" in our hearts when we learned about the opportunity to apply to not only be on horseback through stunningly beautiful Mongolia, but in doing so help people down on their luck in Mongolia. We both have been benefactors of generosity and kindness given by people who believed in us when we were down on our luck, lending us an appreciation for how a little help can go a long way in improving someone's life. Raising Funds for the Veloo Foundation to continue with their various projects aligns with everything we believe in. Particularly the folks who previously were herders and were forced to move into the city when all their animals froze in very harsh winter. Their hardship pulls on our heartstrings as we also make a living raising livestock and can empathize how catastrophic their loss has been in a country without all the safety nets we enjoy in Canada. Spring of 2021 we will be putting life in BC on "pause" for basically 3 months, leaving our Road Building and Silviculture Site Prep business as well as our small ranch in good hands so we can join Julie Veloo and our new Blue Wolf Totem friends mounted on our trusty sure footed Mongolian horses across the Desert, over the Steppes......
