Hello! My name is Hadar Merhav. I am a transplant surgeon who lives and works in Israel. I am proud to have established a thriving transplantation program and to be able to serve and give new life to people of all faiths, races, economic status and ethnicity. My attraction to horses came late in life when I discovered that I have a knack for riding. Riding provides a unique and almost magical experience in the connection and bond between an animal and a person and it gives me a sense of freedom, power and control. The need to trust the beast beneath you is a cathartic and humbling experience and the wild yet controlled gallop is particularly exhilarating.
Education is the single most important method to improve [any] society. It is particularly important in developing nations like Mongolia. Donating to educate children through sponsoring this unique Gobi Ride is a great way to promote this charity and to make life in the "land of the horse" better for all.
